Weighing Cradles are used in suspension weighing of samples for specific gravity or bulk density determinations. Small, Large and Mega models accommodate a variety of sample and pycnometer sizes and shapes. The cradles with samples are immersed in water and suspended by wire attached to the weigh-below fixtures of scales or balances. Suspension wire can be sourced elsewhere. The Mega Density Weighing Cradle has a design similar to the Large unit, but accommodates even larger specimens and pycnometers.
