What is Anchor Testing?
Anchor testing is a critical process in the construction industry to ensure the safety and reliability of structures by testing the holding power of anchors and fixings in various construction materials. Anchor testers like the universal anchor tester are used to bond strength between two layers, including concrete structures and to validate the correct installation of existing fixings. Anchor testers can test up to 35kN/7,868 lbf, making them essential for construction professionals. Anchor testers can test a wide range of anchors including those used in scaffolding. Scaffold anchors and fixings are tested to ensure safety and compliance to industry standards and this ensures compliance to industry regulations.
Humboldt HC-2960 Overview
The Humboldt HC-2960 is a medium duty anchor tester to test the holding power of anchors and fixings in various materials. As part of the Humboldt range of anchor testers the HC-2960 is ideal for verifying anchor installations can withstand a specific pull out load. Whether in the lab or on site, this portable, self-contained tester is a must have for anchor system testing.
Meets the following materials standards: ASTM D4541, ASTM D7234
The medium duty tester kit sits in the middle of the testing range 30kN to 50kN. This tester kit uses advanced hydraulics to accurately register the load applied to construction fixings or during concrete compression tests. It can cover a range of loads from 0 to 50kN, making it versatile and effective for various applications with tools like the K Slump Tester used for concrete testing. Although it looks similar to the 25kN models, internal components have been upgraded. To take the 50kn load the HC-2960 has a reinforced load spreading bridge with three extended length legs which can be adjusted to six positions using an integral pin system. An upgraded turning handle is used to match the higher loads and an M24 operating nut is included to use with a ratchet wrench for use in confined spaces.Kit includes**:** Tester body and operating nut; Analog gauge (0-50kN); Spreading bridge with telescopic legs and hardened pins; Turning handle with integral 24mm Nut; M12 locking adapter; Bolt tester adapter; Threaded stud adapters: M16, M20 and M24; Button Adapters: M10, M12 threaded and 6.5, 8.5, 10.5 and 12.5 slotted; Robust carrying case with grab handle
Medium Duty Anchor Test Kit with 50kN Gauge Meets Standards:
-
ASTM D4541
-
ASTM D7234
-
Pull test: Tests the holding power of anchors and fixings in construction. Used to measure the force load applied during push or pull tests across various applications. Measuring the bond strength between coatings and substrates is crucial for evaluating adhesion. During pull-off testing, separation will occur when the applied tensile force exceeds the bond strength.
