JAWS Small Screed Chairs

JAWS Small Screed Chairs are designed to fit a variety of screed rail sizes, ranging from 1/4″ (6 mm) to 1-1/2″ (40 mm). These chairs accommodate rebar or rods from 3/8″ (10 mm) to 5/8″ (16 mm). The internal “fins” securely grip the rebar or stake, preventing it from bouncing during placement. Made from impact-resistant material, JAWS chairs are virtually unbreakable and can be configured for multiple applications using the FinStand and Base Plate.

FinStand

The FinStand is a durable, impact-resistant support designed for use with 1/2″ all-thread rods. It offers adjustable height—up to 1.75″ (45 mm)—with the use of a nut and washer, making it adaptable to varying deck levels. Refer to the chart below to determine the correct rod length for your desired floor depth.

Base Plate 4.5

The Base Plate 4.5, when paired with the FinStand, expands the system's versatility for use on vapor barriers, concrete overlays, rock, sand, and other substructures. The FinStand securely locks into the Base Plate, which can be fixed into place using screws, nails, construction glue, or other adhesives. Made from impact-resistant material, the Base Plate is virtually unbreakable and features a textured bottom for better adhesive grip. It also provides a suitable surface for patching in tilt-up applications. A 1/2″ (13 mm) rod can easily be inserted between the FinStand and Base Plate for a stay-in-place form setup.
