Sponge Bottle Electrode, Silver/Silver Chloride Version

The M.C. Miller Sponge Bottle Electrode - Silver Chloride Version offers an ability to efficiently wet local areas on horizontal concrete surfaces just prior to taking rebar potential readings, which significantly improves electrical contact of the electrode to the concrete, thus improving reading accuracy.

The reference electrode itself is a modified "land-based" silver/silver chloride reference electrode and a 2 oz bottle of 3.5 M KCl (3.5 M Potassium Chloride solution) is supplied as a filling solution for electrode preparation.

Steel reinforced concrete structures, such as parking garages, bridge decks and driveways can be conveniently tested using the Sponge Bottle Electrode.
