Full Size Aggregate Washers
The Full Size Aggregate Washer will process large aggregate samples up to 15lb (7kg) through an efficient aggregate washing process. Drum is 11in diameter x 13in high (279x330mm).
This Aggregate Washer will wash soil and aggregate samples to remove fines passing the #200 sieve. Eliminate inconsistencies and cost of manual methods. Water is fed into the revolving, inclined stainless steel wash drum via a permanent connection and the sample is gently agitated until the overflow is clear. Overflow is directed to sieves, including a brass sieve pan, to prevent loss of material finer than a #200 sieve in decanted wash water. Choose from our many Wet-Washing Sieves and brass sieve pans. Both models have totally enclosed gear motor for drum rotation and 6ft (1.8M) power cords with GFCI plugs.
Dimensions: 22x22x31in (559x559x788mm), LxWxH.
Electric: 115V/60Hz
Meets Test Methods: AASHTO T11 ASTM C 117 ASTM D 1140
Product Overview
Our Aggregate Washers are engineered to deliver efficient and effective washing of samples, eliminating the inconsistencies and high costs associated with manual methods. Central to their design is a robust stainless steel drum, which is continuously fed with water through a self-piercing saddle valve. This ensures a consistent and reliable washing process, where the drum is gently agitated until the overflow is clear. Oversize material is directed over a sieve to prevent loss, ensuring precise results.
The washers feature a fixed-angle removable drum, which can also serve as a weighing container, adding to their versatility. The gooseneck water tube facilitates easy removal and replacement of the drum, enhancing user convenience. Additionally, the vacuum seal can function as a vacuum pycnometer, further improving processing efficiency of samples.
Equipped with enclosed gear motors for drum rotation, these washers ensure safe and efficient operation. The 6ft (1.8m) power cords with GFCI plugs provide added safety and convenience.
Available in two models, our Aggregate Washers cater to different sample sizes. The Large Aggregate Washer can process samples up to 15lb (7kg), making it ideal for large samples. On the other hand, the Small Aggregate Washer is perfect for processing small aggregate samples up to 8lb (3.6kg). Both models are designed to enhance sample processing efficiency and are equipped with features such as an inclined stainless steel drum and completely enclosed gear motors.
These washers are indispensable tools for any laboratory or testing facility, providing accurate and reliable results. They are easy to use, efficient, and cost-effective, making them the ideal choice for processing samples.
Features of Stainless Steel Drum
The Aggregate Washer, a type of aggregate washing equipment, is designed to wash samples efficiently and accurately. At the heart is a stainless steel drum, inclined to agitate the sample gently. Water is fed into the drum continuously to wash thoroughly. The removable drum is fixed angle to make removal and cleaning easy. The gooseneck water tube can swivel out of the way to make drum removal even easier. It’s smooth and quiet operation comes from the enclosed gear motor and the rotating vacuum seal removes air from the sample to improve sample processing efficiency.

Applications and Features of Drum Rotation
The aggregate washing system is a must have in the laboratory for testing aggregate specimens. It can wash both large and small aggregate samples and can be used with other testing machines like compression testing machines. The Aggregate Washer has:
-
More Accurate Testing: The washer keeps the aggregate specimen from moving or shifting during testing.
-
More Durable: Built to withstand heavy testing. Can be used multiple times.
-
Faster Testing: The washer’s design simplifies testing procedures, reduces overall testing time.
-
Cost Savings: Reduces replacement parts and downtime.
-
Safer: Prevents accidents and injuries that can happen if aggregate specimens move or shift during testing.
-
Better Quality Control: Ensures aggregate materials meet standards and specs.
-
More Productive: More tests in less time.
