The Dead-Weight Consolidation Load Frame applies loads for stress-controlled consolidation testing of soil specimens. The compact tabletop unit has a capacity of 48tsf and is equipped with a rear-weight counterbalance beam assembly allowing 9:1, 10:1 or 11:1 beam ratios for greater flexibility with weight sets. Locating pins on the top platform center the consolidometer prior to loading. The load frame is simple and efficient to use, and is constructed from anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance in harsh laboratory environments. Vertical rods, cross arms and beam support rods are made from stainless steel. The design allows instantaneous loading with minimal impact. Accepts Consolidometers for specimen sizes up to 3in (76.2mm). Consolidometers and Weight Sets are required for use and purchased separately.
