Its core is a one-piece balanced rotor equipped with hard-coated hammers, ensuring superior wear resistance and consistent pulverization performance over extended use. The rotor is driven by a powerful 1hp, single-phase motor, complete with essential overload protection to safeguard the motor and prolong its operational life.

This model incorporates an advanced 1/8hp chain-driven auger feed system, providing continuous and controlled material delivery into the pulverizing chamber. This mechanism ensures a steady processing rate, approximating 0.9lb/min (400g/min) when utilizing a 0.024in screen plate, thereby optimizing workflow efficiency.

Safety and ease of maintenance are paramount. The pulverizing chamber is fully sealed to contain dust and prevent cross-contamination, and it features a quick-opening latch. Crucially, a safety interlock system halts power immediately when the chamber door is opened, resuming only when securely closed and latched, protecting operators during cleaning or screen plate changes.

Galvanized feed hoppers and sample cups offer enhanced corrosion resistance. The standard hopper capacity is 1.2L, with a vinyl snap-on cover for dust control and sample integrity. For greater stability and reduced operational noise, the unit is mounted on a lightweight steel base plate with four rubber pads, effectively dampening vibrations.

Each pulverizer comes supplied with five screen plates, allowing users to achieve diverse final particle sizes tailored to specific analytical requirements. Users can select from six available perforation diameters: 0.020, 0.024, 0.033, 0.040, 0.0625, and 0.093in (0.508, 0.610, 0.838, 1.02, 1.59, and 2.36mm). Screen plates are easily secured within the chamber using robust lock pins. Additionally, approximately 10ft of power cord is included (note: plug not supplied, allowing for local electrical configuration).
