The United Scientific JAY020 High Alumina Crucible, Cylindrical Form, 20ml Capacity is an unglazed, cylindrical crucible that provides high resistance to chemical attack and is ideal for high temperature work requiring uncontaminated results. Made of 99.7% pure aluminum oxide, this crucible is highly refractory and can be used in reducing and oxidizing atmospheres, including hydrogen and carbonaceous atmospheres.
With a maximum use temperature of 1750 degrees C, this high alumina ware is suited for glass melting, including borosilicate glass, and is recommended for use with refractory metals such as Molybdenum, Platinum, Rhodium, Tungsten, Tantalum, and Iridium.
Designed for chemists, metallurgists, and others involved in high-temperature work, the United Scientific JAY020 High Alumina Crucible is highly resistant to alkalies and other fluxes, making it an ideal tool for producing uncontaminated results. It has a capacity of 20 ml, a height of 40 mm, and a top outside diameter of 32 mm.
