The AMS 209.01 GVP Manual is a heavy-duty gas vapor probe kit designed to add torque to your gas vapor probe system. With flighted augers, this kit allows you to penetrate even the toughest and rockiest soil conditions with ease.
Included in the kit are all the components found in regular GVP kits, with the addition of flighted extensions that allow you to pre-bore a hole to a depth of 9 feet. This kit also comes with a larger 2 1/2" concrete bit for clearance when sampling beneath concrete.
The lead flighted auger bit is equipped with a hard surfaced tip for regular soil conditions and a carbide tip for heavily compacted soil. By pre-drilling your boreholes with the flighted augers, you can increase the lifespan of your stainless steel sampling points and gain access to sampling points at various angles.
