Gas Vapor Probe Dedicated Tip and Fluoropolymer Umbrella
Gas Vapor Probe Dedicated Tips are designed for long-term sampling or as expendable points left in the ground. They are ideal for detecting hydrocarbon spills, underground storage tank and pipe leaks, landfill contamination, and hazardous waste sites. Soil gas monitoring is simple with the Dedicated Gas Vapor Tip, using a Slide Hammer or Electric Rotary Hammer Drill along with GVP Drive Extensions and an Extension Drive Adapter.
The innovative design of the Gas Vapor Probe Dedicated Tip, combined with the Fluoropolymer Umbrella, allows for efficient soil gas collection. The umbrella is folded and inserted into the end of the Gas Vapor Probe Tip Drive End before installation. Once the sampling point is reached, retracting the Drive Extension string releases the tip and unfolds the umbrella. This prevents soil from clogging the vapor inlets. An optional screen can be used for fine-grained soils or groundwater sampling. The vapor inlet holes are slightly recessed and protected by the GVP Drive End to prevent clogs during installation. Each tip includes a 300-series stainless steel Dedicated GVP Tip and a Fluoropolymer Umbrella, with the screen sold separately.
