The United Scientific 55201 Desiccator is a non-vacuum, white base desiccator designed to provide superior moisture-free storage of specimens and samples. Made of high-quality polypropylene and polycarbonate, this autoclavable desiccator is designed to withstand extreme temperatures and offers exceptional durability and longevity.
The dome-shaped top of the United Scientific 55201 Desiccator is crafted from rigid, transparent polycarbonate, providing a clear view of the sample within. The knurled knob atop the dome allows for easy handling and manipulation of the dome as needed. Additionally, the lower portion of the desiccator is crafted from polypropylene, further enhancing the durability and longevity of the product.
An internal groove is present on the flange, which securely holds the silicone rubber o-ring in place, further contributing to the functionality and air-tight performance of the desiccator. Vacuum grease should be applied to the flanges, ensuring that the desiccator remains completely air-tight for optimum performance.
The United Scientific 55201 Desiccator is 6" in size, or 150mm, with a flange O.D. / I.D. of 171/150mm. The plate O.D. is 138mm, with a height of 204mm and a maximum clearance of 123mm above the plate.
