Deaired water is used in both triaxial and permeability testing as a permeant and confining fluid in Control Panels and Test Cells. Water in 1.5gal (5.7L) or 5gal (18.9L) clear acrylic chambers is subjected to a vacuum to remove dissolved air and gases air entrapped in the water. Tanks are furnished with control valves, fittings and lines for filling, vacuuming, venting and outflow of water to the control panel and test chamber. Tanks should be mounted on a wall at a height greater than the test chamber and panel to allow gravity flow of the deaired water to the chamber with a minimum of turbulence. A vacuum source of 29in+Hg supplied by the user is required for operation.
Features:
- Systems produce deaired water for triaxial and flex-wall permeability testing
- Choice of 1.5 or 5gal tanks
