D101 Dowel-in

Accessories

Dayton
The Dayton Superior Dowel-In is available Straight (D101), 90 ° and 180 ° Hooked (D102 and D103) and Double-Ended (D104). Each is manufactured from grade 60 deformed rebar material and is available in rebar sizes #4 through #11 in plain or epoxy coated finish. The threaded end of the Dowel-In is enlarged by forging, before threading, to ensure that the cross-sectional area of the bar is not reduced by the threading operation. This design feature assures full ultimate strength of the rebar. Dowel-ins are configured to facilitate easy installation and can be easily assembled by hand. On larger projects, such as highway paving, a centrifugal chuck on an electric or air-powered drill motor can be employed to speed installation.

Technical Data Sheets

D101 - Dowel-In Tech Data Sheet

The Dayton D101 Dowel-In is an essential accessory designed for superior performance in construction and civil engineering applications. Made from high-grade 60 deformed rebar, this straight dowel-in showcases remarkable durability and strength, conforming to ASTM A615 standards. With a length of 96 inches and a diameter of 7 inches, it's engineered to endure the stresses of heavy loads, making it ideal for both small-scale and large-scale projects.

The D101 model stands out for its thoughtful design features. The threaded end is meticulously enlarged through a forging process before threading, ensuring that the cross-sectional area is preserved, which in turn guarantees the full ultimate strength of the rebar is maintained. This innovative process enhances reliability, adhering to stringent construction requirements.

Available in a range of rebar sizes from #4 through #11, the Dayton D101 can be obtained in either plain or epoxy-coated finishes, catering to diverse project needs. The epoxy coating provides an added layer of protection against corrosion, extending the lifespan of the dowel and maintaining structural integrity over time.

Installation of the D101 Dowel-In is efficient and user-friendly. It can be easily assembled by hand, making it accessible for smaller projects. For larger endeavors, such as highway paving, contractors can utilize a centrifugal chuck with an electric or air-powered drill motor to expedite the installation process.

With its robust design, flexibility in sizing, and ease of use, the Dayton D101 Straight Dowel-In is the perfect solution for enhancing load transfer between concrete elements, ensuring your projects stand the test of time.
