The concrete vibrating table, also known as an electromagnetic table, consolidates fresh concrete in cylinder and beam molds. 20x20x10in (508x508x254mm) large platform. Control box with on/off switch, silicon rectifier and rheostat knob to adjust 3,600 VPM vibration. User must supply power cable and load capacity up to 300 pounds (136kg).

Platform designed to fit various sizes of cylinder and beam molds. Separate control unit to adjust vibration frequency and amplitude.

What is a Vibrating Table?

A vibrating table, also known as a concrete vibrating table, is a must have device to consolidate and compact fresh concrete in cylinder and beam molds. It’s used in the construction industry especially for concrete testing and quality control. The vibrating table uses a mechanical vibrator to remove air bubbles and excess water from the concrete, resulting to a denser and more uniform mixture. This process called consolidation will enhance the strength and durability of the concrete. Vibrating tables are used to produce durable and smooth products like tiles, paving stones and precast concrete elements.

Platform is designed to fit various sizes of cylinder and beam molds. Separate control box to adjust vibration frequency and amplitude. Power cable is user supplied and connects to power pulse control unit to operate the table. This will ensure that the concrete is fully consolidated for better quality and performance.

Types of Vibration Tables

Vibration tables are designed for various industries and applications, precast concrete, construction and manufacturing. The types of vibration tables are:

  1. Standard Vibration Tables: These are general purpose tables and suitable for many applications. Fixed vibration frequency and used in precast concrete production. Consistent vibration for uniform concrete compaction, a must have in many production environment.

  2. Variable Frequency Vibration Tables: These allow adjustable vibration frequency. Ideal for applications where different products requires specific vibration setting. Used in industries where many concrete products are manufactured, provides the flexibility to achieve optimum vibration for each product type.

  3. Custom Vibration Tables: These are designed to meet specific customer requirements and can fit unique product sizes, shapes and vibration needs. Used in specialized industries or for large scale production, so the vibration table will match the specific requirement of the project.

  4. Portable Vibration Tables: These are designed to be mobile and can be moved to different locations. Used in construction sites, small scale production or where space is limited. Portability does not compromise its effectiveness, a versatile option for various concrete compaction tasks.

Vibrating Table for Freshly Poured Concrete

Concrete vibrating tables remove air bubbles by shaking the freshly poured concrete with a mechanical vibrator. This is necessary to consolidate fresh concrete and form cylinder and beam molds. A concrete vibrating table will compact materials in boxes, bulk bags and containers. The vibrating action will settle the materials, minimize the volume and reduce the cost of transport.

Benefits and Applications

Fresh Concrete Consolidation

  • Forming Cylinder:

Benefits and Applications

The benefits of using a vibrating table in quality control are many and big. Here are some of the advantages:

  • Higher Concrete Density and Strength: The vibrating action will compact the concrete, making it denser and stronger.

  • Less Air Bubbles and Excess Water: By removing air pockets and excess water, the table will have a more uniform mixture.

  • More Uniformity and Consistency: Consolidation will result to a consistent and uniform concrete mix

  • Better Durability and Resistance: Consolidated concrete is more durable and resistant to wear and tear.

  • Less Labor Costs and More Efficient: The vibrating table will simplify the compaction process, save time and labor cost.

The vibrating table is used in various applications in construction industry:

  • Concrete Testing and Quality Control: To ensure concrete meets the standard.

  • Cylinder and Beam Mold Testing: Testing the strength and durability of concrete samples.

  • Fresh Concrete Consolidation: Compacting freshly poured concrete for better quality.

  • Large Platform Applications: Handling large cylinder and beam molds and materials.

  • Materials Testing and Research: Testing and research on construction materials.

When Choosing a Vibration Table

When choosing a vibration table, consider the following factors to ensure you get the right one for your application. These are:

  1. Vibration Frequency: The vibration frequency required for your application should be considered. Different products may require different vibration frequency to achieve the best compaction and perfect finish. Make sure the table can provide the required frequency range for effective concrete compaction.

  2. Table Top Size and Material: The size and material of the table top should fit the product being manufactured. A larger table top for larger product and smaller table top for smaller product. The material should be able to withstand the concrete compaction.

  3. Load Capacity: The load capacity of the vibration table should be considered to ensure it can handle the weight of the product being manufactured. Overloading the table will cause equipment failure and inconsistent compaction result.

  4. Durability and Long Life: The vibration table should be made of durable materials and designed for long life to minimize maintenance and downtime. Investing in a durable table will give you long term reliability and cost savings.

  5. Vibration Range: The vibration range should be considered to ensure it can accommodate different products and applications. A table with wide vibration range is more versatile and useful in various production environment.

  6. Mold and Product Compatibility: The vibration table should be compatible with the molds and products being used to ensure efficient and effective production. Compatibility will ensure the table can handle the shape and size of the precast concrete elements being produced.

  7. Market Trends and Industry Standards: The vibration table should be designed to meet current market trends and industry standards such as energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Being up-to-date with industry standards will ensure the equipment is relevant and effective.

Maintenance and Safety

Regular maintenance and safety precautions are required to ensure the table perform optimally and long lasting. Here are some tips:

  • Inspect Regularly: Check the table and its parts for wear and tear.

  • Clean: Clean the table and its parts regularly to prevent dust and debris accumulation.

  • Power Cable and Control Box: Check the cable and control box for damage and malfunction.

  • Proper Installation and Levelling: Ensure the table is properly installed and levelled for accurate result.

  • Manufacturer’s Instruction: Always follow the manufacturer’s guide for operation and maintenance.

  • Personal Protective Equipment: Wear gloves and safety glasses when using the table.

  • Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation to avoid inhaling dust and debris.

By following these maintenance and safety tips you can ensure the table perform optimally and long lasting for your concrete testing and quality control applications.

Vibration tables are a must have equipment in many industries such as precast concrete, construction and manufacturing. By knowing the types of vibration tables and considering the factors to choose a vibration table, businesses can ensure they get the right equipment for their needs. A good vibration table can improve product quality, increase efficiency and reduce cost, ultimately success of the business. Investing in the right vibration table is a smart move that can give you better precast concrete compaction, longer concrete product life and overall operational excellence.
