Concrete Pocket Penetrometer with Penetration Plunger
Concrete Pocket Penetrometer is a tough, lightweight unit with a calibrated reaction spring for resistance. Used for lab evaluation or field testing of initial set of concrete mortar which is defined as the point where the concrete reaches 500 psi penetration. Plated steel construction resists rust and will withstand harsh field conditions until the concrete has set. 0-700 psi scale etched into the barrel of the piston. A snug fitting indicator band slides onto the piston to register maximum readings.

What is a Concrete Pocket Penetrometer?
A Concrete Pocket Penetrometer is a portable, tough and lightweight device for field and lab testing of initial set of concrete mortar. It’s a must have in the construction industry to measure the penetration value of concrete mortar quickly and easily.
The Concrete Pocket Penetrometer measures the resistance of concrete mortar to penetration and gives a reliable indication of its strength and quality. The device has a calibrated reaction spring and a penetration plunger with a 1/20 square inch tip area. The calibrated range of the pocket penetrometer is 0-700 psi, suitable for all types of concrete.
Used with concrete, mortar and psi (pounds per square inch) the Concrete Pocket Penetrometer is a must have for both field and lab evaluation testing. It’s used to determine the initial set of concrete mortar which is a critical factor in determining the strength and durability of concrete structures.
In addition to its main function the Concrete Pocket Penetrometer has a scale etched into the barrel of the piston so you can read the penetration value. A snug fitting indicator band slides onto the piston to register maximum readings.
In all the Concrete Pocket Penetrometer is a good tool to measure the penetration value of concrete mortar.
