Concrete Crack Data Logger, Wireless Logging System

Crack Monitoring

Crack monitoring is key to long term integrity and safety of buildings, bridges and other solid structures. By monitoring crack development and progression engineers and maintenance teams can identify potential issues before they compromise the building. Devices like concrete crack data loggers, crack detectors and concrete crack monitors are designed to measure and record crack width and movement in concrete and other solid structures. These data loggers provide continuous monitoring so you can detect even the smallest cracks and monitor them over time. This proactive approach maintains critical components, supports predictive maintenance and extends life by preventing small cracks from becoming big problems.

Detection and Measurement

Accurate crack monitoring and measurement are the heart of crack monitoring. Modern crack detectors are engineered to measure cracks with high resolution and accuracy, capturing even the smallest changes in crack width. Integrated data loggers like those found in advanced concrete crack data loggers automatically record and store data on crack growth, material degradation and overall structure integrity. The user interface operating systems on these devices are designed to be user friendly so you can configure settings, monitor live data and review historical trends with ease. This simplifies data collection and enables you to predict future movement and plan maintenance accordingly. By using high resolution measurements and user friendly interfaces you can monitor every crack precisely, informed decision making and concrete and structure integrity.

Crack Width Monitoring

Monitoring crack width is a critical part of health assessment, crack width changes indicate load, settlement or material fatigue. Crack width gauge devices like digital calipers are used to measure crack width with high accuracy. Concrete crack monitors and crack detectors further enhance this process by providing continuous automated crack width monitoring, delivering valuable data for ongoing analysis and trend prediction. For larger gaps or complex geometries optional extension cables and robust stainless steel cables ensure even the widest cracks are monitored. This approach allows you to assess severity, prioritise repairs and have a complete record of development across all areas so no critical movement goes unnoticed.

Concrete Crack Data Logging System, Wireless with Data Transfer

The Wireless Concrete Crack Data Logging System measures and logs linear displacement of joints in concrete, masonry and other structures. The logger is attached to one side of a joint and a 3.15in (80mm) long stainless steel cable is secured to an eye bolt on the other side. The system is designed to monitor cracks and displacements in concrete structures, including hard to reach areas. Great for structural engineers who need to log data for monitoring.

Optional Extension Cables are available to span larger gaps, 12, 20, 39 and 79in (300, 500, 1,000 and 2,000mm). The measurement scale is 40 x 20 mm, providing high precision for displacement monitoring. As the cable coils or uncoils from its mounting on a rotary potentiometer, movements and ambient temperatures are time-stamped and logged. This helps with prediction by giving you more data over a longer period.

Concrete Crack Data Loggers can store up to 51,062 displacement and ambient temperature measurements in user defined time intervals from 1 minute to 91 hours. Linear movement resolution is 0.00012in (0.003mm). Ambient temperature range is -4°–176°F (-20°–80°C) with 1°C resolution.

Concrete Moisture Test Starter Kit Wireless Concrete Crack Data Logging Kit includes an Wireless Concrete Crack Data Logger, 3.15in (80mm) long stainless steel cable, eye bolt and 1/2AA, 3.6V battery which will last up to 4 years. Also included is an HMA-660 Wireless Communication Module which connects to the USB port of a Windows PC or tablet to transfer data from integrated data logger up to 492ft (150m) away.

Wireless Communication Module is an optional accessory and can monitor up to 32 HM-652 Concrete Crack Data Loggers. Extension cables are available for gaps that exceed the included 3.15in (80mm) long stainless steel cable.
