HMA-836 Permeability Compaction Hammer is equipped with a sliding weight and a 2in (51mm) tamping foot. It has a 4—8in (102—203mm) adjustable drop height. The hammer easily compacts remolded soils samples for use with Granular Soil Permeameters in accordance with ASTM D2434 standards. Included with the HMA-836 is a 100g (0.22lb) and 1kg (2.2lb) weight.
