The Automatic Controller Retrofit comes prewired and preassembled, simplifying installation. To upgrade your machine, simply remove the existing hydraulics and display interface, attach the Automatic Controller Retrofit, connect the new hydraulic hose and limit switch, and your setup is ready for on-site calibration. This hassle-free process minimizes downtime and allows you to quickly enhance your testing capabilities.
When ordering, you’ll need to provide the existing concrete frame capacity and piston diameter of your manual machine. This information ensures the correct sizing of the pressure transducer and enables us to perform initial factory calibration for optimal accuracy.
Compatibility with Dual-Frame and Specialized Machines
Dual-frame compression machines can also benefit from this advanced system. With the addition of an A/B switch, these machines are seamlessly upgraded to automatic operation. For those performing specialized tests, such as the ASTM C469 modulus of elasticity (MOE) or MOE and Poisson’s ratio testing on 4in or 6in (101mm or 152mm) cylinders, the retrofit includes one or two LVDT inputs. Additional extensometer testing fixtures for MOE and Poisson’s ratio testing are available for purchase.
