Karol-Warner’s Pneumatic Consolidation Load Frames, featuring the exclusive CONBEL™ design, provide precise and dependable performance for soil testing laboratories. These frames utilize pneumatic loading for highly accurate consolidation testing, ensuring instant load application and consistent maintenance. With low-load functionality for applying minimal confining loads, the system is controlled via a precision pressure regulator for optimal accuracy. Its compact, self-contained design saves bench space and includes a digital display for applied loads, supported by high-accuracy pressure regulators and transducers (±0.1% linearity).

The platform, constructed from robust 1in (25.4mm) thick aluminum, includes adjustable centering pads and can accommodate consolidation rings up to 7.25in (184mm) in diameter. The platform clearance measures 8.25 x 7.75in (210 x 197mm), WxH. Stainless steel vertical rods provide sturdy support for the cross-head and dial gauge, while the enamel-coated steel cabinet ensures durability and protection. Each load frame includes a Loading Ball, with consolidometers, dial indicators, and an air compressor (minimum 123psi/8.5bar) sold separately. For advanced functionality, optional Consolidation Data Acquisition Software integrates with the load frame (when configured with an LVDT or Digital Dial Indicator) to enable real-time data recording, calculations, and reporting in compliance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
