To use, simply lower the sampler to the surface in dual-tube mode or drive it to the desired depth. Once the depth is reached, retract and remove the inner rods connected to the internal drive tip, adding extensions as needed. The internal drive tip is then secured in a chamber at the top of the sampler. Attach the slide hammer to drive the sampler further down and collect the sample.

This sampler includes a core catcher to ensure sediment samples are securely retained without loss. Two o-rings on the internal drive tip help prevent cross-contamination, providing reliable and accurate results. It’s capable of collecting continuous or discrete samples from the sediment surface to depths of up to 4 feet, offering flexibility based on your sampling requirements.

The kit includes everything you need for sampling: one 4' x 1 1/2" O.D. plastic liner, two 2' x 1 1/2" O.D. plastic liners, a top metal catcher, a plastic basket retainer, three 3' extensions, a 30 lb. slide hammer, cleaning brushes, and a padded carrying case for easy transport.

For harder or compact sediments, an optional removal jack and pull cap make it simple to extract the rods and sampler from the borehole, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
