This Porous Stone measures 2.75in (70.0mm) in diameter, 0.25in (6.4mm) thick, and is made of durable aluminum oxide. Designed for use at either end of cylindrical soil samples, it allows two-way fluid flow while maintaining structural support.

We provide a wide range of Porous Stones for laboratory geotechnical testing applications such as triaxial shear, permeability, direct shear, and consolidation.

Porous Stones facilitate the flow and measurement of water or other permeants during testing while minimizing the migration of fine particles into the system. Our high-quality stones have a permeability range of 15-18ft³ (424-510L) of air per square foot and an average pore size of 179μm. All Porous Stones are in stock and ready for immediate shipment.

• Aluminum Oxide Round Porous Stones – The most popular option, available in a wide range of diameters with thicknesses of 0.25in (6.3mm) or 0.5in (12.5mm).
