The Seedburo Brass Open Handle Dual-Tubed Probe has 6 non-partitioned openings, a seamless design and durable cast bronze points. It is good for use in sampling foods, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals and other similar dry materials. The 40in (1,020mm) probe with a 1-3/8in (34.9mm) diameter is made of extruded brass. It is equipped with an inner tube that rotates for opening or closing sampling holes, and an open-ended handle to allow easy emptying of the total sample. Seedburo probes are made to conform to USDA specifications. They are constructed from extra heavy gauge tubing for durable, time-tested sampling.
Open-ended probes without partitions are more convenient to empty and are widely used by the grain elevator operators for obtaining samples from truck loads. After sample is obtained, probe is held upright and sample is dumped from the handle.
