Deslauriers 4in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap, 50 Duro (2/Pk)
The Neoprene Compression Pad flows into irregularities and distributes the test load uniformly without creating air pockets to assure consistent breaks. Patented “stay in place” nubs, secure pads into cups.
Compression pads are available in several hardnesses.
50 duro for design strength 1500 to 6000 psi.
60 duro for design strength 2500 to 7000 psi.
70 duro for design strength 4000 to 12,000 psi*.
*Qualifying tests must be performed for strength over 7,000 psi per ASTM.
Refer to ASTM C1231 for max uses, qualification test, etc. Our sales personnel are always available to assist.
4in Neoprene Pads come in 50, 60, or 70 durometer. They are used when testing compressive strength of concrete cylinders and meet ASTM C1231/1231M and AASHTO T 22 standards. The pads are 0.5in (12.7mm) thick and flow during compression to fill irregularities in cylinder ends and ensure uniform load distribution. The 4in Steel Retainer Set are sold separately and required to hold the pads at both ends of the cylinder. Two pads are required. Pads can be used up to 100 times.
Deslauriers 4in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Caps Meets Test Methods:

The Deslauriers 4in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap is a high-quality product designed for the testing of compressive strength in concrete cylinders. With its unique features and superior performance, this neoprene pad cap ensures consistent breaks and uniform load distribution.
The patented "stay in place" nubs guarantee that the pads remain securely in the cups, preventing any movement or displacement during testing. This ensures accurate and reliable results every time. The neoprene compression pad is specially designed to flow into irregularities on the cylinder ends, filling any gaps or air pockets that may affect the test. This uniform distribution of the test load eliminates any inconsistencies and provides precise measurements of the concrete's strength.
The Deslauriers 4in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap is available in different hardness levels to suit a wide range of design strengths. The 50 duro option is ideal for design strengths ranging from 1500 to 6000 psi. For higher design strengths, the 60 duro and 70 duro options are available, suitable for 2500 to 7000 psi and 4000 to 12,000 psi respectively. Qualifying tests must be performed for strengths over 7,000 psi per ASTM specifications.
These neoprene pads are compatible with the 4in Steel Retainer Set, which can be purchased separately. The retainers are necessary to hold the pads securely at both ends of the cylinder. Each package of the Deslauriers 4in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap contains two pads, and they can be used for up to 100 tests.
The Deslauriers 4in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap meets the testing standards set by AASHTO T22 and ASTM C 1231. These standards ensure that the product is reliable and meets the required industry specifications.
