The Superior Plate Dowel is a two-component product consisting of a plastic sleeve and a 4.5" x 4.5" steel plate that is designed to transfer loads at the joints of concrete floor slabs.
The Superior Plate Dowel system provides stability at the concrete joint by allowing the positive transfer of load to offer a smooth slab-to-slab transition.
APPLICATION
The Superior Plate Dowel is used when a slab-to- slab transition occurs and stability of the concrete joint is required. The plastic sleeve is nailed to lumber edge forms and a steel plate then slides into the sleeve.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
- The Superior Plate Dowel is recommended for joints up to .20” wide and can be used in concrete slabs such as jointed floors and flatwork.
- When properly installed, the Superior Plate Dowel conforms to ACI 302.1R and ACI 360.
- Steel plates conform to ASTM A36 requirements for 36 KSI minimum yield strength material.
