The Mud (Dutch) Augers have a unique, open design ideal for cutting through mucky, boggy and root-bound soils. These 3in (76mm) dia. units allow for easy sample recovery and clean-up, and are available in carbon or stainless steel. The Carbon Steel model can be used in most sampling applications while the Stainless Steel auger is best for environmental sampling with minimal contamination. These units are 12in (305mm) in overall length. Augers have a hexagonal connection with hole for a locking pin. Quick-Connect Pins are purchased separately to easily and securely connect augers to extensions with quick-connect fittings. Inquire for augers with threaded connections.
